Zaterdag 1 juni is het BoekStartdag en heten we de allerjongste bezoekers welkom bij de Bibliotheek LocHal. We gaan die dag het Dikkie Dik Zoekboek in 10 talen voorlezen en ontdekken hoe leuk het is om samen met boekjes en taal bezig te zijn. In de LocHal lezen voor in het Nederlands en in het Engels. Maar ook voor de andere talen uit dit boek hebben we die dag voorleestips klaarliggen (Arabisch, Chinees, Engels, Oekraïens, Pools, Spaans, Tigrynia en Turks).

Traktatie

Na het voorlezen staat er een kleine traktatie voor de kinderen klaar, mogen ze nog op de foto met Dikkie Dik bij ons Green Screen (de foto neem je natuurlijk ook lekker mee naar huis) of gezellig samen kleuren. En alle ouders/verzorgers kunnen napraten met een kopje koffie/thee en krijgen een speciale BoekStartgroeimeter cadeau mee naar huis.

Aanmelden

Deze gratis activiteit (voor kinderen tot ca. 3 jaar) is op Perron Geluk (Jeugdafdeling) van de Bibliotheek LocHal. Graag wel van tevoren aanmelden via onderstaande link. Hierbij hoef je alleen je kind aan te melden (en niet de 'begeleiders').

Saturday June 1st it’s BookStartDay and we welcome the youngest vistors in the LocHal Library. This day we read from the Dikkie Dik Searchbook in 10 languages and we will discover how much fun it is to read books together and be busy with language. The book will be read to in Dutch and in English. And we’ll have reading tips ready in other languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, Ukranian, Polish, Spanish, Tigryina and Turkish).

After the read-to session there’s a tasty treat for the kids and they will get the opportunity to be photographed with Dikkie Dik at our green screen (the photo can be taken home) and there’s a lot of colouringplates. All parents and guardians can have a pleasant chat afterwards with a cup of tea or coffee and they’ll get a special BookstartGrow-O-Meter as a take-home present.

Registering

This free activity (for kids till about 3 years of age) is at ‘Perron Geluk’ (youth department) in the LocHal Library. Please register in advance through the link below (It is sufficient to register the child and not the parents/guardians).

BookStartDay

During this day we warmly welcome the youngest visitors and their (grand-)parents in the Library. Participate with your child in a fun read-to activity and discover the fun of reading books together and being busy with language too. Our BookStart Coach will be reading this book to and will tell you all about reading to babies and toddlers. Dikkie Dik This year, our favourite red cat Dikkie Dik will be our leading character. We will be reading from Dikkie Dik in 10 languages. With this book the BookStart Coach stimulates the parents to read to their children in the language they understand best; it will give the parents to tell and point out in their mother tongue. The language of their heart and emotion. Research has shown that parents read-to best in the language the know best. The language of their heart and emotion. A good knowledge of the mother tongue helps children learning the language spoken and used at school. With this book in 10 languages the BookStart Coach stimulates parents from different backgrounds to read-to together with their children in their mother tongue. The book is offered in Dutch, Frysian, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, Polish Ukranian, Chinese, English and Tygrinya.

BoekStartDag

Tijdens de BoekStartdag heten we de allerjongste bezoekers en hun (groot)ouders extra hartelijk welkom bij de Bibliotheek. Doe samen met je kindje mee aan een leuke voorleesactiviteit en ontdek hoe fijn het is om samen met boekjes en taal bezig te zijn. Onze BoekStartcoach, of gastvoorlezer, leest voor en vertelt je alles over het voorlezen aan baby’s en peuters.

Dit jaar staat onze favoriete rode kat Dikkie Dik centraal! We lezen voor uit het Dikkie Dik Zoekboek in 10 talen. Met dit boek stimuleren we ouders om voor te lezen in de taal die ze het beste beheersen. Het Dikkie Dik Zoekboek in 10 talen geeft ouders/verzorgers de mogelijkheid te vertellen en aan te wijzen in de thuistaal.

Uit onderzoek is gebleken dat ouders het beste voorlezen in de taal die ze het beste beheersen. De taal van hun hart en emotie. Een goede beheersing van de thuistaal helpt kinderen bij het leren van de schooltaal. Met het Dikkie Dik Zoekboek kunnen ouders van diverse achtergronden samen met hun kind lezen in hun thuistaal.
